FAQs
Your first consultation can be done virtually. Before any products or services are provided, however, we require a focused in-person visit — basic vitals, required blood tests, and if necessary or relevant a physical examination of the treatment area. This step isn't a formality — it's how we make sure your care plan is grounded in clinical reality, not a checkbox form.
Our monthly programs are billed to your credit card via autopay, with pricing that varies slightly by location. As a current reference, testosterone therapy averages $189/month for intramuscular injections (administered in-clinic or self-injected at home) and $210/month for implanted pellets, which last up to six months per placement. Each monthly program also includes built-in complimentary perks worth asking about. Because pricing is adjusted periodically and varies by clinic, call your nearest Dr. Vigor location for current rates on any service you're considering.
Dr. Vigor is a concierge practice, so we don't bill insurance — and frankly, most of what we do isn't typically covered by insurance plans anyway. The upside: no gatekeeping, no surprise denials, and no rationed care. We do accept HSA and FSA payments for eligible services, allowing you to put pre-tax dollars toward your program.
Yes. For any new patient starting testosterone therapy, we require two separate blood tests confirming low testosterone before writing a prescription. If you've already been diagnosed by another qualified provider, we'll review your existing lab work and may not need to repeat the testing.
We hold this line for a clear reason: testosterone deficiency is typically a lifelong diagnosis, and starting therapy isn't a decision we make from a single lab result. Symptoms matter as much as the numbers — low testosterone without related symptoms generally does not warrant replacement therapy on its own.
Your first consultation is a focused 1:1 visit with a Dr. Vigor specialist — in-person or virtual — designed to be unhurried and substantive. We'll review your screening results and any prior labs, talk through your goals and concerns in plain language, and map out which services make sense for where you want to go. There's no script, no upsell, and no pressure to commit on the day. You'll leave with clear answers, a recommended path, and the freedom to take the next step on your timeline.
No referral is needed. As a concierge practice, we work directly with patients — you can schedule your screening and consultation on your own. If you'd like us to coordinate with your primary care physician or another specialist, we're happy to do so with your written consent. Many of our patients find that having Dr. Vigor as part of their broader care team strengthens the full picture of their long-term health.
Adjustment is built into how we work. If a therapy isn't delivering the results you expected, we don't shrug and maintain the status quo — we look closer. Your specialist will review your most recent test results, talk through what you're experiencing, and recalibrate the plan. That might mean adjusting your dose, changing the delivery method, switching therapies, or adding a complementary protocol.
You're not locked into any program, and there's no penalty for changing course. We measure success by how you actually feel and function — not by your loyalty to the original plan.
Yes — and most patients do exactly that. It's common to start with one program (say, Calibrated TRT®) and later add peptides, GLP-1 weight loss support, or aesthetic services as your goals evolve. Programs are designed to work together, and your specialist will coordinate dosing, timing, and protocols across whatever you're using to keep everything in balance. You can also pause, scale down, or step away from a program when your needs change. Long-term care isn't about adding more — it's about keeping your plan aligned with your life.
